Emily WHO?

You're probably wondering why the heavens you should pay attention to anything I say, so let me break it down.

Why hello there! I'm Emily and I'm so glad you're here. I am a 21-year-old Journalism student at the Rochester Institute of Technology, which is conviently located about fifteen minutes from the house I grew up in and continue to live in - in Rochester, New York.

I've always wanted to start a blog, to write little snippets for the web that I can call "my own." In the past I've hesitated  because I've felt my ideas weren't good enough and lacked a central theme. I'm going to be cliche for a second and say that I am "putting my fears to rest!"

While I'm still not sure what direction this blog will take, I wanted it to be up and running before the new year. I love to write. Acutally, I love to write A LOT. Therefore, I don't think coming up with content will be too difficult for me - that content may just seem a little random at first.

I will include pieces and clips on this blog, that I've completed for classes or am particularly pleased with. Check out the "Air Time" section for my reporting and brodcast work at RIT SportsZone.

Eventually I'll chose a topic to nail this blog down to - maybe politics, healthy living, opinions, etc. Perhaps this blog will remain a little bit bit of everything .... because that's what life is made up of right? A little bit of everything.

I feel a new title coming on already.
